Here is a schedule of orientation events sponsored by the Computer Science Department. There are many other campus-wide orientation events that you might like to explore. 9/18/2013 Computer Science Department Orientation Meeting:

Please do not miss this meeting! It is the most important orientation event for all new CS graduate students and will be held from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2013. Registration will be from 10:30 - 11:30 am. From noon to 4:00, there will be a meeting during which various members of the department will speak about the program requirements, enrollment, advising, computing facilities and much more. This meeting is mandatory for all new Masters students and is advised for Coterm and Additional Degree students. 

10/10/13 Fall Kickoff Party:

There will be a CSD get-together on Thursday, October 10, 2013 beginning at 3:30 pm. It will be held in the courtyard area of the Gates Building AT&T Terrace. If you're married or have a significant other, please feel free to bring him or her along. This reception will provide an opportunity to chat with faculty, staff and other new and returning graduate students as well as to enjoy fine food and drink!
